SMS Moderation Inbox

When families reply to your studio by text message, Trio threads each reply back into the right conversation automatically. Now and then a reply could plausibly belong to more than one recent conversation, and Trio cannot safely guess which one. Those ambiguous replies wait for you in the Moderation Inbox at Messages > Unmatched.

This page is for owners and admins. Teachers and members never see it.

Why a reply lands here

Trio routes inbound texts by matching the sender and the recency of your conversations with them. If two or more of your recent threads with that number are equally plausible, the reply is set aside here instead of being attached to the wrong one. Sending SMS is available on every plan; your monthly text allowance scales with your plan (50 on Free, 1,000 on Pro, and 10,000 on Max).

Reading a reply

Each card shows:

  • The sender's phone number (and their name when Trio recognizes the contact)
  • How long ago it arrived
  • The message text, with a Media attached badge if the text included a photo or file

Routing a reply

Choose one of the actions on the card:

  • Attach to "..." - file the reply into a suggested conversation. When Trio found more than one candidate, you get a button for each so you can pick the right thread.
  • Keep as new thread - start a fresh conversation with the sender (the button names the contact when known).
  • Discard - drop the reply when it is spam or not actionable.

Resolved replies leave the inbox immediately. When the inbox is empty, you will see "No unmatched SMS replies", which means every incoming text has been routed.
