Resources - Lesson Notes, Repertoire & Materials

Resources is one place for what your studio shares with your family. It is always in your menu. The page has three tabs.

Lesson Notes

The Lesson Notes tab shows the notes your teacher completed and shared after lessons. Drafts and private notes stay with the teacher. If you have 2 or more students, use the name buttons at the top to show one child. To learn how you are told about a new note, see Messaging Your Teacher & Shared Lesson Notes.

Repertoire

The Repertoire tab shows the pieces your teacher assigned, for each student, in Currently working on, Set aside and Completed. Open a piece to read your teacher's notes and open its files. See Your Assigned Repertoire.

Materials

The Materials tab is a searchable list of the files and links your studio's teachers and staff shared with your family: in lesson notes, pieces, practice, events and messages. You can open items here but not change them.

Materials shows the 100 newest items, and search looks only at those.

Search and filter

Search matches a file's name and the label of where it came from.
PDFs, Audio, Video and Links show only that type. Images and other files show under All.

Grouped by where it came from

Materials puts items under a heading for each source, in this order:

From your lessons: files on a shared lesson note.
Student files: files shared from a student's profile.
Your pieces: files added to an assigned piece.
Practice assignments: files on a practice assignment.
Practice items: files on one practice item.
Events: files on a published event.
Shared in messages: files your studio sent in a conversation.

A heading shows only when it has at least one item.

Opening a file or link

Tap an item to open it in a new tab. A file downloads or opens; a link opens the website. If an item shows Unavailable, this file will not open right now. Try again later or ask your studio.

What is not here

Files you send in a message stay in that conversation.
Sheet music on a piece from the studio's library opens from that piece's page on the Repertoire tab.
If you sign in with a student's own login, you see that student's files, event files and files in your own conversations, not a brother's or sister's files. Trio picks them from the family's 100 newest items, so you can see fewer than 100.

Why can't I find an old file?

Materials shows only the 100 newest items. If a file is older than those, open it where it was shared: the lesson note, the piece, the event page or the conversation.

Empty states

If nothing is shared yet, Materials shows "No resources shared yet". If a search or filter finds nothing, Trio asks you to try another search or filter.

Materials and family documents

Materials are files your studio shares with your family, such as sheet music and recordings.
Family documents are files your family uploads for the studio, such as waivers and forms. They are on your family profile.
