Staying in touch with the studio and keeping up with lesson feedback both live in the family portal. Messages is for conversations; Lesson Notes is for the notes your teacher shares after lessons.
The Messages page opens to your Inbox, a list of your conversations with the studio. An Archived tab holds conversations you have tidied away.
Some messages are studio announcements; these are read-only, so you will see the message but not a reply box.
The Lesson Notes page collects feedback from your child's lessons. An important detail: only notes your teacher has completed and chosen to share appear here. Drafts and private notes stay with the teacher, so what you see is exactly what your teacher meant for you to read.
If you have more than one child, use the student filter chips at the top to focus on a single child or view all of them. If there are no notes yet, Trio lets you know that notes will appear here after lessons.
You do not have to keep checking. When your teacher shares a note, Trio notifies you on whichever channels you have turned on, and the notification opens straight to that note and highlights it. The message itself never contains the note's contents, just your child's name and a link into Trio.
You control this under Settings, then Notifications, with the Lesson notes toggle. It is on by default. Turn it off and shared notes stop notifying you, though the notes themselves still appear on the Lesson Notes page whenever you visit. You are only told once per note, so a teacher tidying up and re-sharing the same note will not message you again.
