Studio Settings

Studio Settings holds the lists and rules that Trio uses across your studio: the instruments you teach, your skill levels, where lessons happen, your lesson defaults, and your studio policy.

Owners and admins can change these settings, and they find Settings in the menu. Teachers and staff can view the first four tabs. The page tells them they have read-only access.

Instruments

Choose which instruments your studio offers. The instruments you turn on show in the lists when you add students and teachers, on group lessons, and on your application form. Instruments are in groups (Strings, Keyboard, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Voice, Other). Turn each one on or off, or use Enable All or Disable All.

Skill Levels

Your levels, such as "Beginner", "Intermediate", and "Advanced", graded levels, or method-book stages. Skill levels show in the student lists and forms. Add a level, rename it, delete it, or drag levels into a new order.

Locations & Rooms

Locations are the places where lessons happen (home studio, second studio, community center). Each location can have one or more rooms, and Trio warns you when two lessons are booked in the same room. Adding new locations and rooms is part of the Max plan. On any plan you can still edit the rooms you already have, mark them active or inactive, and remove ones you no longer use, so nothing you set up before is locked away.

Lessons

Defaults for every lesson:

• Lesson Timer Warning - how many minutes before a lesson ends the lesson timer changes color. The default is 5 minutes.
• Allow members to book lessons - when off, families cannot book new lessons in the app
• Allow members to reschedule lessons - when off, families can only cancel, not reschedule
• Lesson Reminders - turn reminders on or off, and set Hours Before Lesson (1 to 168). Reminders start on, 24 hours before each lesson.

Both member switches start on. A change to the reminder hours applies to lessons you create or reschedule after the change. Reminders that are already scheduled keep their time.

Lesson Note Templates

Manage the templates for your AI and manual lesson notes: their sections, the instructions Trio follows when it writes a note, and which sections stay private. See AI lesson notes and credits for how templates drive each note.

Policy

The studio policy that families agree to, such as cancellation rules, privacy terms, and studio rules. Create a policy, edit it, and see who agreed. Only one policy is active at a time. When you choose Set Active on a policy, Trio archives the old one and asks every family to agree again. To ask families to agree again to the current policy, click Require re-acceptance. Team

Invite new team members and manage the people who already have access. See Team Management.

AI Connections

Connect outside AI assistants to your studio so they can work with your Trio data for you. This is available on the Max plan. For the setup steps, see Connecting AI Assistants.
