Studio Settings holds the studio-wide reference data and policy that the rest of Trio reads from - the instruments you teach, your skill levels, where lessons happen, your lesson defaults, and your standard rules. Owners and admins can open this page; teachers and staff do not see it.
The page is organized into a row of tabs:
The active tab is preserved in the page address, so you can deep-link or share a specific tab. The Lesson Note Templates, Policy, Team, and AI Connections tabs only appear when you have permission to use them.
The Studio Instrument Registry - choose which instruments your studio offers. Enabled instruments appear in dropdowns when adding students and teachers, on group lessons, and on your Studio Site application form. Instruments are grouped by category (Strings, Keyboard, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Voice, Other). Toggle each one on or off, or use Enable All / Disable All.
Your studio's progression model - names like "Beginner", "Intermediate", "Advanced", graded levels, or method-book stages. Skill levels appear in student profile dropdowns. Add a new level, rename it, delete it, or drag levels to reorder them.
Locations are physical places where lessons happen (home studio, satellite studio, community center). Each location can have one or more rooms, used for conflict detection so two lessons don't share the same space. Add and edit locations and rooms, mark them active or inactive, and remove ones you no longer use. Running more than one location is available on the Max plan.
Defaults that shape every lesson:
Manage the templates that shape your AI and manual lesson notes: their sections, the instructions Trio follows when compiling, and which sections stay private. See AI Lesson Notes for how templates drive each note.
Studio policy documents your families agree to - cancellation rules, privacy terms, and studio guidelines. Create a policy, edit it, and track agreements. For granular cancellation rules tied to billing plans, see Cancellation Policies.
Invite new members and manage the people who already have access. This is the same surface covered in Team Management.
Connect outside AI assistants to your studio so they can work with your Trio data on your behalf. This is available on the Max plan. For the step-by-step setup, see Connecting AI Assistants.
