My Profile

By Trio Team · Updated

Screenshot of My Profile

Your profile is your personal information inside Trio - your name, photo, contact details, and a short bio. Open it at My Profile.

The page is organized into three cards, with a Save Profile button at the bottom.

Profile Photo

The Profile Photo card shows your current avatar (or your initials if you have not added one). Click the camera icon on the corner of the avatar to open a menu with:

  • Choose File - upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 5 MB
  • Take Photo - capture a new photo with your device camera, when one is available
  • Remove Photo - clear your current photo

After choosing or capturing an image you can crop it, then click Upload to save. Your photo appears in the top-bar user menu and anywhere Trio shows you to families and staff.

Personal Information

The Personal Information card holds:

  • First Name (required) and Last Name
  • Display Name - an optional override for "First Last". This is the name families and other staff see.
  • Phone - shown as a verified credential. Use Add phone number or Change phone number to verify a number by SMS. Phone numbers are not free-form here; see below.
  • Email - read-only on this page; managed at the account level
  • Bio - a short description students can see

Edit any field and the Save Profile button activates. Click it to save your changes.

Verifying Your Phone Number

Because your phone number is a sign-in credential, Trio verifies it by text message. Click Add phone number (or Change phone number) to open the verification dialog:

  1. Enter your phone number and click Send code.
  2. Trio texts you a 6-digit code. Type it into the dialog.
  3. Click Verify. Use Resend code if the message does not arrive.

Once verified, the number shows on your profile marked Verified by SMS.

Notification Preferences

The Notification Preferences card has an Open button that takes you to your notification settings, where you control push notifications, email, and SMS for your account. These are your personal preferences and are kept separate from studio-wide defaults.

Profile vs. Studio Settings

It is easy to confuse these pages:
