Calendar Overview | Help Center

The Calendar is your main schedule page. It shows private lessons, group lessons and studio events. Changes from other teachers, staff and family bookings appear without a reload. All times show in the studio time zone.

Header controls

The page header shows Calendar and two controls:

The Calendar integration icon button opens Calendar Integration, where you subscribe to your Trio schedule from another calendar app.
Schedule Lesson opens the form to add a private lesson.

Under the header, use Previous, Next and Today to change the dates. A status shows on the right only when the live connection has a problem: "Connecting...", "Disconnected" or "Connection error".

Day, week and month views

Choose Day, Week or Month. Day and Week show an hour-by-hour grid. Month shows the whole month. Each view shows:

Private lessons, one student each
Group lessons, with a people icon
Studio events such as recitals, with a star icon

Click a studio event to open its event page. Click a lesson to open the details panel.

How lessons look

Each teacher has a color, and their lessons use it. Studio events have their own color.

A completed lesson shows a check mark and is a little faded.
A cancelled lesson is faded, with a dashed edge, and its name is crossed out.
A no-show shows "No Show" and a red outline.
A lesson that a family booked and has not paid for yet shows "Awaiting payment".
An online lesson shows a camera icon.

Filters and view options

The Filters bar shows when your studio has teachers, locations or rooms. Each group (Teachers, Locations, Rooms) shows only when it has more than one item. Click a name to show only its lessons, and click Clear to remove the filters. The teacher role sees only its own lessons, so it gets no teacher filter. A second location and rooms need the Max plan.

The View options button (sliders icon) opens a small menu with four switches:

Show weekends - show or hide Saturday and Sunday
Show cancelled - show cancelled lessons (off by default)
Show availability - shade the hours outside your availability in Day and Week view
Show my other calendars - show busy times from the personal calendars you added (on by default)

Every plan shows Show my other calendars, but only Pro and Max can add a personal calendar, so a Free studio has no busy times to show. See Show your personal calendar in Trio.

A dot on the button shows that an option is not at its default. Trio saves your view options in this browser.

Schedule from the calendar

In Day or Week view, click an empty time slot. The Schedule Lesson form opens with that date and time. In Month view, click a day: Day view opens, and the Schedule Lesson form opens with that date.

Lesson details and dragging

The details panel shows the time, teacher, location, student and notes. For a private lesson, use Edit Lesson, Cancel Lesson, or Restore Lesson on a cancelled lesson. Owners and admins also see Delete Lesson. Manage a group class from its own page in Group Lessons.

In Day and Week views you can also drag a lesson to a new time; Trio checks for conflicts and asks you to confirm before saving. You can drag only a scheduled private lesson. Group lessons, events, and completed or cancelled lessons stay in place. See Managing Lessons for full details.
